Living in Community puts me in touch with many people who do wonderful things that rarely get reported in the news. I have found the organizations listed below to be quietly working to make a difference.

Mennonite Economic Development Association, MEDA. A worldwide, non profit organization with a vision to develop micro-enterprise businesses among low and medium income populations. MEDA offers training and support in all aspects of running a small business.www.meda.org/

SHAREcircle. A non-profit, worldwide organization providing human aid and project development for countries emerging from civil war. www.sharecircle.org

Reba Place Church. A Mennonite church in Evanston, Illinois, which is part of a larger, caring Christian community. www.rebaplacechurch.org.
